Daily Patient Care Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Help with feeding or setting up meal trays Turn and reposition patients to prevent bedsores Basic Medical Support Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) Observe and report changes in a resident's condition (physical, emotional, or mental) Assist nurses with medical procedures (within your scope) Mobility & Safety Help residents walk, transfer, or use mobility devices (wheelchairs, walkers) Ensure rooms are safe and reduce fall risks Use proper lifting techniques to prevent injury (for both you and the resident) Documentation Accurately record care provided and any observations Report concerns to nurses or supervisors promptly Emotional Support Provide companionship and reassurance Listen to residents and help them feel respected and comfortable Support residents' dignity and independence as much as possible Environment & Hygiene Keep patient areas clean and organized Assist with changing bed linens and maintaining infection control standards
